What is a bank terminal, who needs one, is it necessary?

A bank terminal or payment POS terminal is a device used to pay for goods and services with a bank card.

When paying for goods, the POS terminal contacts the bank that issued the customer's card and requests payment authorization. If the transaction is successful, the bank POS terminal accepts and processes the payment and prints a receipt.

✅ Bank terminals can be connected to a computer and the Torgsoft program to keep records of payments, payments to a current account, transfer the correct amount to be paid to the bank terminal, and, most importantly, information about the POS terminal — to the cash register receipt. 

This helps to avoid manual entry of amounts in the terminal, conduct sales without errors, and prevent fraud by unscrupulous sellers. 

To work with a bank terminal, you need:

✅ Torgsoft accounting program: licenses to choose from — Start, Ultra or Terminal.

✅ The option "Connecting a bank terminal" for each cash register, which will allow you to synchronize the accounting program and the bank terminal — automatically transfer the sales amount to the terminal and payment data to the cash register.

✅ An additional option "Software ECR" so that information about payment through the terminal is transferred to a fiscal receipt, and thus goes to the tax authorities.

✅ Bank terminal. The Torgsoft accounting program works with bank terminals using the BPOS, PosApi, WebSocket/JSON, Arcus, SSIAxECR or UPOS protocols. Before signing a contract for connecting a POS terminal in a bank, ask the bank manager if the terminal works using one of the above protocols.
