What is the accounting software Torgsoft-Start?

Torgsoft-Start is the basic program license for one store. It covers the main operations of product, warehouse, and financial accounting: posting goods, sales, returns, write-offs, inventory, work with the cash register, customers, employee permissions, reports, and sales analysis.

The license is suitable for an entrepreneur who needs accounting for one retail outlet without trade network functions, wholesale trade, and the extended scenarios of Torgsoft-Ultra.

What you can keep records of in Torgsoft-Start

Goods and warehouse

The inventory manager creates product cards, posts goods, and enters the quantity, purchase price, and retail price. After posting, the product appears in “Warehouse Status” and becomes available for sale.

An employee can process sales, returns, and write-offs. During inventory, the employee enters the actual quantity of goods, and Torgsoft compares it with the accounting data. The manager receives information about discrepancies and checks product movement documents.

Torgsoft-Start supports printing labels and barcodes for goods. The cashier can find a product by barcode, SKU, or through the list of goods in stock.

Sales, returns, and cash register

The cashier creates a sale in Torgsoft, adds goods to the document, and accepts payment. The program saves the sales document and records the movement of goods and money according to the completed operation.

When processing a return, the cashier finds the required sale or enters the product into the return document. Torgsoft creates a return document and records the refund after the employee performs the corresponding action.

Financial documents, settlements with partners, and “Cash Register Totals” are available for working with money. The owner can check sales amounts, returns, cash and cashless payments, the cash balance, and other cash day indicators.

Customers and discounts

In Torgsoft-Start, you can maintain a customer directory, store information in the customer card, use discount cards, and configure discount policies. The bonus system is not included in the basic functionality of Torgsoft-Start.

Employee permissions and checking their actions

The administrator creates program users and sets their access permissions. This allows separating the operations of the cashier, inventory manager, administrator, and other employees.

The manager can view the “User Action Log”. After enabling the corresponding parameter, the “Document Change Log” becomes available, registering changes in receipts, sales, returns, and financial documents.

Reports and analysis

Torgsoft-Start includes reports for daily store control. These include “Product Report for the Period”, “Cash Register Report for the Day”, “Summary Report for the Day”, and “Gross Income for the Period”.

For sales analysis, the owner can use, among others, “Sales Analysis by Product Type” and “Revenue Analysis by Product Manufacturer”.

Database backup

In the “File → Backup” menu, the user can save the database and load a previously created copy. Storing backup copies in cloud storage requires the separate “Cloud Data Archive” option.

Can you work on several cash registers

Torgsoft-Start allows combining several workstations of one store in a local network. The computers work with a shared database within one premises. Each workstation requires a separate Torgsoft-Start or Torgsoft-Ultra license.

At the same time, Torgsoft-Start supports one accounting center. Several workstations in one store remain part of one retail outlet.

What features are not available in Torgsoft-Start

Torgsoft-Start has a limited set of functions compared with Torgsoft-Ultra. This license does not include:

• internal transfer of goods between warehouses;
• creating supplier orders;
• product bundling;
• trade with invoice issuing;
• work with VIP customers;
• bonus system;
• wholesale trade;
• currency and regional price lists;
• work with an intermediary.

If these processes become necessary, the license type can be changed. For a trade network and remote work with a single database, another Torgsoft architecture is used.

What additional options can be connected

The basic capabilities of Torgsoft-Start can be expanded with paid options. They are purchased separately from the main license and have their own licensing terms.

Fiscalization and payment

Accounting for warranty goods by serial numbers is included in a separate option. For this, during product acceptance, the employee registers the serial numbers of specific units.

Several Torgsoft-Start workstations can work with a shared database through the store’s local network. Internet access requirements depend on the connected services and additional options. PRRO, cloud backup, mobile, and other external services have their own modes and working conditions.

Who Torgsoft-Start is suitable for

Torgsoft-Start is designed for a store with one accounting center that needs product posting, sales, returns, write-offs, inventory, cash and warehouse accounting, a customer database, employee permissions, reports, and basic trade analysis.

If the business needs several stores, internal transfers between warehouses, wholesale trade, supplier orders, a bonus system, or other functions that are not available in Torgsoft-Start, the program configuration should be selected from other Torgsoft licenses.
