How to set up the printer?

Usually, to print receipts and labels, you just need to install the printer, connect it to your computer, and download the drivers. The link to the required driver is available in the product description on the website of the Torgsoft online store, or is provided by Torgsoft technical support.
Some printer models are more difficult to set up and users have questions

Why does the HPRT LPQ58 printer print hieroglyphics?

If the printer prints «hieroglyphs» instead of text on a receipt or label, there may be the following reasons

1. the HPRT LPQ58 driver is missing,
2. the HPRT LPQ58 driver is not installed correctly,
3. a bug in the printer software itself, or a problem with the firmware.

✅ In the first and second cases, the problem is solved by installing the driver.
If there is a problem with the printer firmware, you need to contact the manufacturer or service center.

Why does the HPRT LPQ58 printer not print?

If the printer does not print receipts and labels, follow these steps:

1. Delete the HPRT LPQ58 printer. To do this, in the «Devices and Printers folder», select the HPRT LPQ58 printer and click «Delete Device».
   If there are 2 printers available when clicking the right mouse button, replace the port with any free USB (USB001, USB 002...). You can do this in the driver settings in the «Ports» tab.
2. Click the left mouse button on any device and restart the computer.
3. Disconnect the printer from the computer or turn it off.
4. Install the HPRT LPQ58 driver.
   
   Important The archive contains two packages of drivers for different bit sizes of the Windows operating system. Choose the one you need.
   
5. Specify the connection type: USB.
6. Turn on the printer and wait for the «Next» button activation. Close the installer.
7. Select the HPRT LPQ58 printer in Torgsoft again.

After these steps, the printer should print labels and receipts.
