Consignor notification is an option that automatically sends the supplier a message about the sold product each time a sale is made. The store owner does not need to manually summarize sales and report to partners who provided goods on consignment. The option is useful for stores that work under a commission agreement or accept goods for sale.
What the «Consignor notification» option can do
Automatic notification upon sale
- Sending at the moment of sale — after a product is sold, the program automatically creates and sends a message to the corresponding supplier.
- Two communication channels — the message is sent by e-mail or via SMS mailing, depending on the template settings.
Templates and message content
- Separate template type — for the option, a template with the mailing type «Consignor notification» is created in the Settings - Parameters - Additional functions section.
- Substitution of sales data — variables such as «Product name», «Product article number», «Quantity of sold product», and «Supplier amount of the sold product» are inserted into the message text.
- The supplier’s amount specifically — the consignor sees the amount at which they provided the product for sale, not the store’s retail markup.
- E-mail subject — a separate message title is set for e-mail mailings.
- Sender signature — for SMS, the «SMS signature» field is filled in so that the supplier can see which store sent the report.
- Anti-spam interval — the «E-mail sending interval in seconds» field creates pauses between e-mails so that mail services do not treat the reports as spam.
Control and management
- Selective disabling — in the supplier card, on the «Additional» tab, the «Send message to consignor» switch can be disabled for individual partners.
- Sending log — all sent messages are stored in the Marketing - Bulk mailing menu, on the «Bulk mailings» tab.
A separate paid bulk mailing option is not required for consignor notification to work — templates are configured directly within this option. If you also plan to send marketing mailings to customers, there is a separate option for this: «Bulk customer mailings».
