For effective shoe store automation, it is critical to consider the specifics of the goods: size ranges, seasonality of collections, and the need for box labeling.
1. Main features of the shoe store software
The Torgsoft program contains specialized tools that simplify accounting specifically for the shoe assortment:
Size range accounting: this function allows you to enter a model once during posting, and then quickly specify available sizes and their quantity, significantly speeding up the goods receiving process.
Accounting by models and characteristics: you can group goods by models to analyze the success of the entire line, not just a single pair. The product card allows specifying parameters such as collection, material, color, gender, manufacturer, and season (summer, winter, demi-season).
Label printing and barcoding: since shoes often require internal labeling (on the box or sole), the program allows generating proprietary barcodes and printing labels with price, size, material, and shop name.
Loyalty system and VIP clients: for shoe stores, retaining customers is important. The program allows maintaining a client database, implementing discount and bonus systems, cumulative discounts, as well as identifying the buyer by phone number or card.
Seasonality and sales: repricing tools allow quickly changing prices for seasonal collections or running promotions for specific groups of goods (e.g., summer shoe sale).
2. Torgsoft Licenses
The license is chosen depending on the business scale and number of stores. The software (main license) is usually purchased once and becomes your property.
Torgsoft-Ultra (Recommended for a single store): this version is optimal for a full-fledged shoe store. It contains extended functionality: marketing tools, VIP client management, loyalty system, bulk mailings, and payroll module, which are absent in the basic version.
Torgsoft-Terminal (For a chain of stores): if you plan a chain of stores or want to manage the business remotely (from home, from another city), a terminal license is required. It allows combining all points into one database and working via the Internet. This version requires a server (your own powerful PC or rented in a data center).
Torgsoft-Start: basic version for one workplace. Suitable for a small point at the start, but it has limitations (absence of loyalty system, bulk mailings, VIP client management), which can be critical for the development of a shoe boutique.
3. Necessary additional options
Additional options extend the basic capabilities of the program. Note that some options are now provided on an annual subscription model.
Software RRO (PRRO): necessary for sales fiscalization according to legislation. It allows issuing fiscal checks without buying a classic cash register, using a regular receipt printer.
Bank terminal connection: allows connecting a POS terminal to the program. The amount to be paid is transferred automatically, eliminating cashier errors and speeding up service. This option is usually paid annually.
Synchronization with an online store (optional): if you plan to sell shoes online (on your own site, Prom.ua, Rozetka), this option allows automatically uploading stock, photos, and prices to the site, and downloading orders into the program.
Deletion of closed period statistics: a useful option for database optimization after several years of operation to speed up the program.
4. Trade Equipment
For a shoe store, the following set is recommended:
Label printer: critically important for printing price tags and barcodes on boxes. Universal models are recommended (e.g., Xprinter series), which can print on both thermal labels and receipt paper.
Receipt printer: used for printing fiscal (via PRRO) and sales receipts for customers.
Barcode scanner: for a shoe store, it is better to choose a wireless scanner. This allows the salesperson to move freely around the warehouse or hall, scanning boxes without having to bring every pair to the checkout.
Computer or POS monoblock: the main device for installing the program. It can be a laptop, desktop PC, or specialized touch monoblock that saves space on the counter.
5. Procedure
1
License selection: decide between the "Ultra" version (for a single store with full functionality) or "Terminal" (for a chain).
2
Equipment selection: purchase a label printer, scanner, and receipt printer.
3
Setup: install the program, configure PRRO, and connect the bank terminal.
You can download a demo version of the program for 30 days for free to test creating size ranges and printing labels before purchasing. Upon purchasing a license, a package of free technical support for training and setup is provided.
