Accounting and sale of piece goods with a measure — is dual accounting of an item simultaneously in pieces and in a measure (grams, meters, liters, carats), with automatic calculation of the item value by its measure. The program eliminates manual calculator recalculations during receipt and sale. It is suitable for jewelry stores, fabric retailers, as well as businesses selling cable, hoses and other length-based or weight-based goods.
What the «Accounting and sale of piece goods with a measure» option can do
Dual accounting and product catalog
- Accounting in two dimensions — the product is stored and calculated simultaneously as a whole unit (piece, roll, coil) and by its measure.
- Unit of measure directory — subordinate units are linked to the reference unit through a conversion coefficient, for example, if the reference unit is kilogram, then 1 gram = 0.001 kg.
- Measure in the product name — the measure value is automatically added to the short product name, using the short name generation rule with the «Measure» checkbox, and is printed on labels.
Pricing
- Value calculation by measure — you set the price per reference unit, for example, per 1 gram of metal or 1 meter of fabric, and the program automatically calculates the purchase and retail value of the item.
- Two-way recalculation — in the «Enter measure and value» window, changing the measure or price per unit instantly recalculates the item value, markup and retail price.
- Price protection against manual editing — when the «Enter price per unit of measure» checkbox is enabled, the price can be changed only through the «Measure price» button, which prevents accidental errors.
- Wholesale price per unit of measure — in addition to the retail price, you can set and adjust the wholesale price per reference unit of measure.
Sale and cash register
- Measure calculator in sales — the cashier enters the required cut, for example, 2.5 meters, and the program calculates the amount and writes off the sold measure from stock balances.
- Choice of sale unit — the «Sale in» switch determines which units the product is sold in; the quantity, unit of measure and price fields in the invoice and sales receipt are filled in using the selected units.
- Icon for measured items — products sold in units of measure are marked with a separate icon in the «Product name» column in the «Sale» and «Expense list» forms.
Warehouse, documents and reports
- Stock balance control by measure — in the «Warehouse state» window, the «Measure total» column shows the total balance in the reference unit, such as the total weight of metal or cable length in stock.
- End-to-end measure accounting — the measure and unit of measure are recorded in receipts, sales, sales receipts, internal transfers and returns to the supplier.
- Dual accounting analytics — the «Sales analysis by product types» report displays the columns «Supply measure», «Sales measure», «Return measure», «Balance measure» and «Reference unit of measure».
Equipment
- Weight transfer during receipt — when the setting is enabled, the item weight from connected scales is automatically entered into the product card, without manual keyboard input.
- Printing on labels — the label displays the measure, weight or length, and the price per unit of measure.
Some scenarios require related options. To weigh goods not only during receipt, but also during sale at the cash register, the Integration with scales at the cash register | 1-year license option is required. To transfer retail and wholesale prices per unit of measure to the website, the Online Store Synchronization option is required.
