«Staff alerts» is an internal text message system that allows the manager to address employees directly in the Torgsoft program and see who has read the message and when. Each message appears on top of other windows and blocks work until the employee confirms that they have read it, so the instruction cannot be missed. It is suitable for retail chains, production facilities, businesses with several shifts, and other companies that work in a single database on several workstations.
What the «Staff alerts» option can do
Creating and sending messages
- Targeted sending — a message can be sent to all active users at once, or you can select specific employees or a group using the «Select users…» button.
- Dynamic recipient list — the list shows only those who are currently working in the program and have access to the accounting center (warehouse or store) from which the message is sent.
- Saving recurring messages — the program saves previously created alerts, so a typical instruction can be selected from the list and, if necessary, only the text can be adjusted.
Formatting and attracting attention
- Highlighting urgent messages — for important instructions, you can set the background color, font, and enable window flashing.
- The «Message type» directory — formatting is saved as a ready-made preset (for example, «Promotion» or «Urgent») and can then be applied in one click.
Schedule and repeat
- Delayed sending — the date and time for displaying the message on users’ computers are set in advance.
- Repeat interval — the repeat sending period is set in the «Sending interval, minutes» field; with the value «0», the message appears within 3 minutes.
Read confirmation control and log
- Mandatory confirmation — the window appears on top of all Torgsoft windows and blocks work until the user clicks the «Acknowledged» button.
- Postponement for a period of time — if necessary, the employee can postpone the alert for 5, 15, or 30 minutes using the «Postpone» button, after which it will appear again.
- Delivery and response log — the delivery time, read time, and response speed in minutes are recorded for each employee.
- Quick status control — the «Read status» filter separately shows employees who have read and have not read the message; those who have not yet confirmed are highlighted in red.
- Adaptation for long texts — the message window can be resized, and a scroll bar automatically appears for long regulations.
Access rights and automation
- Access rights separation — a regular user sees only their own messages in the log; the owner or system administrator sees all correspondence and filters it by user or employee.
- Supplier warehouse notification — together with internal orders of the retail chain, the «Inform supplier warehouse about a new order» switch is enabled: when the order changes to the «Ready» status, the alert window for warehouse employees appears automatically.
The option works independently and naturally complements staff control tools — Payroll and staff motivation and Linking the sale of each product to the salesperson.
Alerts appear only on PCs or laptops with the desktop version of Torgsoft for Windows and are not duplicated as push notifications in the Torgsoft Mobile App. For the option to work, all computers must be connected to one local network or work through a terminal server.
